Welcome to Receipt Maker! We decided to build Receipt Maker, as we first-hand noticed how annoying it is to lose that one receipt that you need to send to your accountant right now. We combined our long professional background in the receipt creation, analysis, and started working on this product to make it easy for anyone to create a receipt in such situation. Receipt Maker is the result of years of hands on experience working directly with real receipt printers and analyzing and consulting many stores to improve business metrics through their receipts.

Before launching Receipt Maker, our team worked extensively with receipt generation hardware and software systems. That work included assembling and configuring receipt printers, validating output accuracy, testing formatting behavior, and analyzing how point of sale systems produce transaction records at scale. We became deeply familiar with the technical standards that govern receipts, including tax calculation models, timestamp logic, register identification, itemization rules, and layout conventions used by major retailers and service providers.

Alongside our technical work, we conducted structured research on thousands of receipts from retail, grocery, hospitality, and service industries. Our analysis focused on store specific formatting, regional compliance differences, transaction data structures, and system level behaviors. This research now serves as the foundation for the logic engine that powers our application.

We continuously update our app as many store's regulations and technologies evolve. These standards guide how we design, maintain, and operate Receipt Maker.
